“Your attitude determines your altitude—let this book be your guide to soaring higher in life.”
In this prayer book, “Lord, I Heard You.” We need to remember that God is the originator, and the Source of life. He is the dynamic engine of life that controls the motion of the universe and we are a part of the eternal design of life in this world.
Our life is an intricate part of the infinite universe. We will do well if we remain loyal to God who eternally lives and cares for us being His children. If we search ourselves, we would realize that God is at work in our lives just like the blood in our arteries and vessels.
We do not want to underestimate our conversation with God. He comes to our aid whenever we face a problem and when we reach a dead end, whether in sickness or health, whether quietly or aloud; our life is an extension of Him.
We need to pray and be patient whenever we face finding a job or we have a health issue. We need to be patient at work and work hard, and not give up easily. The Lord our God loves those who use their time wisely and potentials skillfully in order to succeed in life.
God always hears our prayer whenever we pray to Him and we are sincere in our hearts, for He is the Designer and the Creator of the universe including the billions of peoples who live on earth whether they accept Him or not as Lord and Savior.
The people who deny God are like the maid who says there is no broom in the closet without looking in it, or like the child who would say I do not need parents; I can live on my own without them.
We need to remember, our lives are safe with a loving God, whether or not we understand how we came to this world, we came to our consciousness. Our coming to the world and leaving it is like being under anesthesia in the hospital surgery room, and being prepared for an operation. We are alive, but in deep sleep, but we are safe in the hands of the doctor. We go to sleep and then we wake up, and there we are, we are alive in the world, yet we cannot remember what happened when we were asleep.
Prayer is our cellular phone to converse with God, his saints, angels and ancestors. When we depart this world we will be traveling to our designated homes that were prepared for us since the days of eternity in a wink of any eye, just like before we were born into this world.
Humanity may be confused and bewildered, but there is only one door and that door goes through Him, for He is the Lord God of all ages, Jesus Christ.
If we decided not to believe, “We would be like a boy who says, “I have no daddy or mommy.” God is the source of our life and we are apart of this source of life. There is no death in Christ. We all shall live and have an abundant life.
Every human being, regardless of his religion, has similar curiosity about life and death, and each one of us believes that he has the right prophets and the right God. We have to remember that God is living within us, so let us allow Him to work in our lives and let us keep our bodies clean and pure from all poisonous defilement of this world.
Let us live an honest and truthful life, be nice to our neighbors and help those who are in need of help and assistance. God opens His doors to all those who seek Him in order to help the needy, in order to manage their lives, and solve their problems.
So prayer is an indispensable tool in order to live a virtuous life in this world and the world to come.
“The Triumph Of Tears is a compelling text that will give you the mustard seed that everything is possible in life if we work hard enough in order to obtain it, and God will answer our prayer in due time if we do not give up.”

“These poems will tell you a story of falling in love and failing many times in order to reach a happy ending, but understanding the process is not an easy one, but all eventually will come to an end and everything will fall into place.

“Chaplain John Andraos Shalhoub is a praying man. Similar to the Psalmist
David, Shalhoub writes his conversations, prayers and petitions to God in a
verse that can be chanted, sung or read.
Praying and communicating with God stimulates Chaplain Shalhoub to
write these prayers so he never knows when the verses will come to him.”

“Father John’s writings connect from his heart to my heart. Through his
writing I more clearly understand my own experience, both my sorrows and my
joys. I find comfort in discovering that I am not alone with my thoughts and feelings.
Father John shows me the connections to God in my every day.”
Dale Weston
“Father John offers the splendor and the glory of God through a unique poetic
and Biblical style that matches the Psalms with beauty, elegance and spiritual
uplift. He brings us into union with God through the love of our Lord,
Jesus Christ and the Communion of the Life-Giving Holy Spirit. He always
knocks on God’s doors to ask Him to soothe our hurts, to lift us up from our
pain and to heal our wounds.”

Marriage Workbook is a tool for husbands and wives they can use to save their marriage. Nowadays, family is threatened by separation, divorce, teenage pregnancy, and poverty. The family institution is being challenged by disintegration and fragmentation. Marriage is no longer accepted as the cornerstone of society. Our society has lost the sight of the basic values that foster a stable and happy home. Society is condoning sexual behavior outside of the marriage at the expense of the children. These days society is reaping broken marriages that are plaguing society due to lack of loyalty in the relationship. Society should not sanction marriage outside of marriage vows. We are born in God’s image. We should keep his image holland we must sanctify our lives before Him. Faithfulness, loyalty and trust are the best tools of protecting the family institution. Infidelity and divorce are serious threats to marriage and family. Separation and divorce and open sex are the fruits of social decay and moral paralysis. When people are married, they are ought to respect the marriage bonds regardless of how many problems they may have at home. There is no marital problem without a solution. If anyone encourages either marital partner to be unfaithful to the marriage vows, that person should be held responsible for such a behavior. Most family problems are solvable, if the couples want the marriage to be satisfactory, stable, and united, whether they are financial, housekeeping, emotional, or sexual. The couples must realize that divorce, open sexual behavior and domestic violence will bring ruins to one’s marriage. Personally, I have seen a great deal of pain and suffering among husbands, wives and children and therefore, no one should justify divorce as an answer to solving family problems. Husbands and wives have to realize that marriage is the only legitimate institution in the sight of God and men.
This workbook that Reverend John Shalhoub, PhD has constructed addresses family issues and problems in a troubled world and offers a unique modality and path that penetrates te heart of today’s marital problems whether in society, the military, or in schools. His theme will give you the needed options and route to resolve family problems. It explains the difficulties, dangers, and quagmires that face families today as well as engages you to discover the root and cause of them. As it leads to providing you to a solution with a simple formula of courage, openness, and simplicity. This book makes use of parables, pictorial images, visual activities, and exercise that simplify the problems and expose the roots of the disagreements. It gives you the layout you need to explain the importance of family and marriage. It furnishes you with the dynamics required to solve your family problems. This book explains the pitfalls and the difficulties of marriage and then provides you with the help you need to make your family life more fulfilling and rewarding.
Lord, Hear My Prayers! gives your faith a voice. It puts your solemn thoughts and feelings into words and brings us closer to God. “Father John offers the splendor and glory of God through unique poetic and Biblical style that matches the Psalms with beauty, elegance, and spiritual uplift.”
This an inspirational book written in a poetic style just like Psalms, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs similar to the style of the Prophet by Khalil Gibran. This book reaches the inner depth of the heart and soul and connects with God communicating our pain, hurts and suffering. It calls for God’s compassion and mercy that He may save us from harm and protect us from evil. This book is ideal for hospitals, the sick, the lonely, and all the people with various needs in their daily lives.
