ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The Reverend John Andraos Shalhoub is the son of Andraos Ferris Shalhoub and Nour Yousef Habib. He was born in Aita El-Foukhar, Lebanon, February 25, 1943. He studied for the Ministry in the Balamand Seminary from 1958 to 1964. He was transferred to the Antiochian Orthodox Patriarchate in Damascus, Syria and worked in the Assyia Schools from 1964 to 1966.
Reverend Shalhoub came to the United States on November 5, 1966 at the request of the late Archbishop Michael Shaheen and the urging of his Uncle, George Ferris Shalhoub of Charleston, West Virginia. He enrolled in the University of Toledo, Ohio majoring in psychology from 1966 to 1968.
